Ruth DeGraves
Ruths early training focused on performance and playwriting. She has acted on stage, in film and on radio. The latter led her to ten years of employment with CBC radio as a writer-broadcaster and regular contributor (hard news, documentary, commentary and arts reviewer) for regional and national radio and she also acted in the capacity of a radio producer on many CBC programs. She became host and writer for 2 seasons on CBC televisions Open Wide, a half-hour weekly national broadcast. During the years that followed, Ruth has worked as a writer on documentary films and documentary series and was nominated as a finalist in screenwriting at the Writers Guild of Canadas annual awards. She has narrated several films. Ruth has had several short stories and her first novel published internationally.
